Portuguese is not an easy language in my opinion. But what foriegn language isn’t when your just learning? I didn’t learn any Portuguese before I went to Brasil. I was totally emerged for a year. It took me 6 months to feel comfortable speaking. Eventhough in 3 months I understood it. My favorite question was and still is “como você falar?“, “how do you say?“. My advice is take advantage of learning before you go as much as you can. You’ll get a better and easier experience.
