In my experience and in my opinion the best reason to speak Portuguese is you get a much fuller experience while traveling in or to Brasil. The Brazilian people are very warm and inviting. When you speak or try to speak Portuguese they open up even more. They love to carry on conversations about America and Brasil. You can learn a lot about places to see and things to do while in Brasil. They love their country and they love to share it.
