Have you seen people riding around Rio de Janeiro on orange bikes that say Itau and wondered how you can use those bikes yourself?

It’s really quite simple.
All you have to do is sign up at BikeRio and pay R$10 per month to register an account.
Click on cadastre-se at the top in order to sign up.
Once you’ve signed up, hover your mouse over passe, then click “comprar passe bike rio” in order to buy a subscription.
To download the mobile app, go back to the home page and click on aplicativos.
Remember that you can use the bike for free up to 1 hour. Beyond that you will need to pay R$5 per hour.
Return the bike before 10pm or else you will not be able to turn the bike in until 6am and will have to pay for the time used in between.
