How to board the bus in Brazil

November 14, 2013 By Josh Plotkin 3 Comments

Boarding the bus for the first time in Brazil?

Learn how to get on the bus like a Brazilian.

When you get on the bus in Brazil, you should immediately go to the back of the bus.

It doesn’t matter how many people are in your way, it is your duty to push through them and go back as far as you can.

Brazilians have a different conception of personal space, so you shouldn’t feel awkward about doing this, its just normal in Brazil.

Its certainly better to be at the back, than at the front where everyone who gets on the bus is going to be pushing past you.
