How to take the Bus from Galeão Airport to Rio de Janeiro

August 27, 2013 By Josh Plotkin Leave a Comment

When you arrive at the airport in Rio de Janeiro you have a few options for getting to the city.

You can arrange to have a shuttle pick you up at the airport. Your hotel, hostel or bed and bed likely offers this service for around R$150.

You can take a taxi for around R$80.

Or you can take the comfortable air conditioned bus that passes through Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon and Barra da Tijuca.

If its your first time flying into Rio, watch this video to see where to find the bus.
